Possession- Disentombed Manifestations (Review)

Possesion was a band that was ahead of its time, they mixed thrash with death metal in an almost perfect way, the voice of their vocalist Nik changed between falsettos King Diamond style and guttural similar to Glen Benton, add great guitar solos and brutal drumming and a few acoustic touches here and there, all this made his music beauty for the ears.

The name of the group and its lyrical theme made some seem them as wolves in sheep's clothing, when the truth was that they were sheep in wolf's skin if you want to say, their lyrics warned about the dangers of the occult and that crossing certain limits was too dangerous.

Eternally Haunt their debut album did not receive the attention it deserved, but over the years became a reference album for bands that would come, in fact, I think they were pioneers in blend death and thrash. The album has been out of print for a long time and has been quite a prized item in online auditions.

Some time ago the band carried out a campaign to be able to launch all of their works plus some surprises in a single record, well that took a long time due to various factors, but the wait was over and it was worth it.

Xtreem Music released on August 26 the album Disentombed Manifestations bringing together, in addition to the band's debut album, the demos Mad Crazed & Violent, The Unnameable Suffering, Scourge & Fire, and one unreleased song an Iron Maiden Cover " Revelations”. In addition to a great cover job, the lyrics and quite a few archive images, a real gem.

The demos show the different facets that the band went through, in some demos the sound is even more aggressive than in their debut, these demos have been remastered and are an excellent addition to the combo.

Fans will not have been disappointed, you can purchase it through the Xtreem Records page and if you want the digital version on the Xtreem bandcamp you can also find it.

Fun fact as a conclusion is that some members of Posession formed years later Frost Like Ashes one of the most brutal bands of unblack.

Do yourself a favor and run to get your copy before could be too late.
